Saturday 28th of august - Course Open
All drainage slits on the first and second holes are designated Ground Under Repair. If your ball, stance, or area of intended swing are impeded by these slits you must lift your ball and drop within one club length of the nearest point of relief, not nearer the hole.
Shotgun Scramble and Prize Presentation - Friday 17th September
On Friday 17th September at 2 pm, there will be a shotgun scramble for people who were involved in any way (players, subs, panels, managers) with the inter club teams this year. The cost is €20 per head to enter this competition. The timesheet is open for this event now. If there are slots still available on Friday the 10th, then anyone else is more than welcome to enter.
On the night we will also present prizes to the men's winners of the Lorraine Milner Memorial competition and the Club Championship prizes.
We have had an unprecedented year in many ways - no fewer than 7 people have scored holes in one since May in competition - and these people too will be presented with a prize on the night.
The kitchen are putting on a special menu at €10 per head - it should be a great evening. The prize presentation will take place at 8 pm
Captains' Fundraiser Sunday September 5th 2010
The annual Captain’s Fundraiser will take place on Sunday 5 September 2010.
This will be an Open 4-Person Team Event and the entry fee for each team is €80.00 (or €20.00 per person). The entry fee includes a meal voucher on the day, redeemable against breakfast or dinner.
The funds raised from this year’s event will go specifically towards the completion of the new Buggy Shed to accommodate a fleet of up to 24 Electric Buggy’s. It is intended that apart from renting these Buggy’s in the normal way for individual rounds of golf, they will also be available to members who may wish to obtain priority rental of a Buggy on an annual basis.
Any member wishing to avail of an annual rental opportunity for 2011 should now contact the General Manager, Seamus Kelly.
The time-sheet for the Captains Fundraiser is now open and Captains George and Cindy are looking forward to members and visitors support on the day.
Annual BHT Competition
Please note there has been a change to the date for the annual B.H.T. Competition which is being hosted by Hollywood Lakes this year. The new date is now Sunday 26th September (previously Saturday 28th August). Any lady members who wish to participate in this event please put your names on the poster in the Ladies locker room.

Fingal Seniors League Final
The Fingal Seniors' League Team won a pulsating Final against Balbriggan at Balcarrick on Mon 23rd by the narrowest of margins. 6 and a half matches to 5 and a half.
The 12 singles marathon teed off in windy squally conditions. The early matches went largely our way but Balbriggan fought back and as the tenth match finished the score stood 5 all. The 11th game was halved and the last match fell to us on the 17th. Exciting win.
This was a great result for the panel whose dedication and enthusiasm grew in intensity over the 5 month campaign which included 8 inter-club games interspersed with numerous practices. Never a word of anger.
It was pleasing to record the presence of our Club Captains Cindy and George at the final. This was greatly appreciated by the team. Their attendance was noted and remarked upon by the visiting dignatories from other clubs. Thanks Captains.

We did it! Congratulations to Tony Swan and his team for their magnificent win in the McDonnell Cup.

The Fingal Seniors' Team Reach Final
Hollywood Lakes have qualified for the final of The Fingal Seniors' League by beating Corrstown 5.5 to 0.5 at The Island Golf Club yesterday. A great performance.
The final against Balbriggan or Howth will be played in Balcarrick G.C. on Monday 23rd of August at 11.00 a.m. The format will be a game of 12 singles matches.

Uden Cup Team reach Final
The Hollywood Lakes Uden Cup Team won their semi final match against Corrstown GC yesterday, Thur 29th July, winning all 4 home matches and 1 away match for an impressive 5-2 victory.
Congratulations to managers Alan Daly, Des Carpenter and their panel of players on this magnificent achievement.
The final will be played against Howth GC over two legs with 7 matches at each venue with the first round being held at Hollywood Lakes, dates have yet to be set.
We have a Seniors Open every Tuesday and a Men's Open every Thursday and 4 Person Team events every Bank Holiday Monday throughout the year.
