Prize Structure - as requested at Mens Club AGM 2011
This structure has been in place since I took over as Competitions Secretary and would have been agreed by the mens' club committee at some stage prior to 2010.
The amount of prizes is somewhat at the discretion of the Treasurer who issues vouchers etc and has standard values for prizes, but at his discretion he may pay out a lesser value prize if the numbers competing were low.
For All Open Singles Events
1-25 entrants - Overall only
26-40 entrants - 1st and 2nd
41 - 60 entrants - 1, 2 and 3
61 - 99 entrants - 1, 2, 3 and 4
100 or more entrants 1, 2, 3 and Classes 1, 2 and 3
Weekend Singles
100 or Less - 1, 2, 3 and 4
Over 100 - 1, 2, 3 and Class 1, 2 and 3
Weekend Fourballs
100 or less - 1st and 2nd
Over 100 - 1, 2 and 3
Medal Competitions
100 or less - Overall, Gross, Class 1, 2, 3
Over 100 - Overall, Gross, Class 1, 2, 3 Winners and Runners Up
Men's Winter Golf 2011/12
Winter cuts are effective from the 5th of November to the 26th of February 2012. Details of cuts and Winter League Qualification criteria are included in the attachment.
Men's Golfer of the Year 2011 - Dramatic Finale
With the wettest day in a long time and the course declared playable the stage was set today in the October Medal for a dramatic finale to the Golfer of the Year.
Firstly, congratulations to October Medal Winner Mark Kane for an excellent 69, playing off 16 today - in that weather outstanding!
