After 14 possible rounds of golf the leaders and all scores are up to date and attached.

Cut for 48 players is now at 148 - there is a tie in this position between John Timmins and Tony Piggott.

Keith McMullan who was in 48th last week has dropped to 65th due to not playing this week, but has played 6 cards - one more good score could see qualification looming!!

This structure has been in place since I took over as Competitions Secretary and would have been agreed by the mens' club committee at some stage prior to 2010.

The amount of prizes is somewhat at the discretion of the Treasurer who issues vouchers etc and has standard values for prizes, but at his discretion he may pay out a lesser value prize if the numbers competing were low.

For All Open Singles Events

1-25 entrants - Overall only
26-40 entrants - 1st and 2nd
41 - 60 entrants - 1, 2 and 3
61 - 99 entrants - 1, 2, 3 and 4
100 or more entrants 1, 2, 3 and Classes 1, 2 and 3

Weekend Singles

100 or Less - 1, 2, 3 and 4
Over 100 - 1, 2, 3 and Class 1, 2 and 3

Weekend Fourballs

100 or less - 1st and 2nd
Over 100 - 1, 2 and 3

Medal Competitions

100 or less - Overall, Gross, Class 1, 2, 3

Thank you ladies for making the annual Christmas Lunch a very enjoyable event for me to see out my year as Lady Captain. I was delighted so many were there to create a very convivial atmosphere in the Clubhouse! Your support and generosity over the year was much appreciated. The most closely run Golfer of the Year competition in the Ladies Club history was finalised today with a playoff over 18 holes strokeplay between Ciara Brangan and Sharon Dolan.

With great scores of 76 and 78 Sharon won the title by 2 shots. Well done to both ladies on a great battle over the course of the year.

Congratulations to Sharon who has definately earned the title Golfer of the Year 2011. The presentation of the prize will be presented at the Ladies AGM on the 17th November.
